Travel Advisory: Airport Security Updates and Mexico Monitoring

TSA PreCheck and Airport Security

We want to share a quick update regarding recent news about Transportation Security Administration PreCheck during the partial government shutdown.

While there were reports that TSA PreCheck had been suspended, the latest announcement confirms that it will continue operating. However, the agency noted that “as staffing constraints arise, TSA will evaluate on a case by case basis and adjust operations accordingly.”

TSA has announced that as of today, Global Entry operations are being paused, which means international travelers who normally use Global Entry lanes when returning to the United States should be prepared for longer wait times.

What this means for you:

  • Please allow extra time at the airport, especially for upcoming departures.

  • Bring your Real ID-compliant driver’s license.

  • If you do not yet have a Real ID, you will need to travel with a valid passport for domestic flights.
